Pyramid Plunder

Experience rates
At 12.0 runs/hour, about 5.0 minutes each:
| Skill | XP per run | XP per hour |
|---|
| Thieving | 20,890 | 250,680 |
Level 99 opens room 8: a run is 20,890 Thieving experience — 1,250 from doors, 1,640 from the gold chests from room 4 up, and 18,000 from 12 urns in each of rooms 7 and 8.
Rooms open at 21, 31, 41, 51, 61, 71, 81 and 91, and the calculator moves you down as you pass them — which is why a long goal finishes far faster than its first room suggests.
The 12 urns/room are the estimate here: the article gives the method but never says how many urns a room holds, and nor does the urn’s own page. Twelve reproduces both rates it does publish — 120,000 xp/hour at 71, upwards of 275,000 at 91 — to within a few per cent.
Sarcophagi are left out. They pay Strength rather than Thieving, and the article says they cost more time than they are worth unless you are hunting the sceptre.
