A Slayer master picks your task by weight. Your chance of any one task is its weight divided by the summed weight of every task you can be assigned — so your Slayer level, your combat level, your quests, your reward-shop unlocks and your block list all change it.
The tables below are the fully-unlocked case: every quest done, every unlock bought, nothing blocked. Set your own on the calculator and the odds follow.

Boss slayer
With Like a Boss unlocked, a boss task is two rolls: one for the task at the weight above, then one for which boss, at an equal chance among those you qualify for. That second roll ignores your combat level and your block list. Konar is the only master who can assign the Alchemical Hydra, and Krystilia only rolls bosses in the Wilderness.
